  1. Loved Gaining Ground! Thank you for writing such an enjoyable book. I checked it out at the Chevy Chase Library but will now buy a copy to have. Looking forward to Growing Tomorrow.

    All the best,

    Leslie Cordes

  2. I finished Gaining Ground today – I visited our Farmer’s Market today and bought my first pound of sausage made from pasture raised pork – in Mills River NC. Better than any steak I have ever eaten. Thank you…. Ruth

  3. I’m looking forward to ‘Growing Tomorrow’. You mentioned once, that you may be doing a book event in Minneapolis this fall. Is it going to happen, or did something go wrong?

  4. Hi Forrest, I heard you speak last year at the Mother Earth News Fair in Pennsylvania, I purchased your book, got it signed by you, and now it is the June selection for the Doylestown Food Market’s Food for Thought book club. I am really enjoying your book and I’m almost done. I’m the facilitator for the book club. Since you also have a degree in English, I thought perhaps you could help me out with some interesting questions for the book discussion next week. Thanks for a great book and for any helpful discussion questions you can give me.

  5. Hi Forrest, I purchased Gain Ground and Growing Tomorrow at the Clean Water Coalition meeting. Your signed comment about my hop harvest was encouraging. I had Barton Seaver in my office at the National Aquarium a few years back and the recipes that you two share are my first goto’s.

There is a wonderful dirt and water revolution emerging!

    Bill

  6. Thoroughly enjoyed your talk yesterday at the Mount Vernon Garden Symposium-inspiring and smart! I’m about to dive into both your books.
    Thank you.

    Sarah

  7. I am thinking about having my students read Gaining Ground. Do you know of any study guides that are available?

I go to my farmers’ market every week for fresh veggies, chicken, and pork, and buy a quarter cow from a local farmer every year! I love what you have done and continue to do. Thank you for caring about our planet and the animals.

    Kim
